Me & Jeff 2005 Jeff "Ffroe" Roe
I first spoke to Jeff in late September 2004 after my dad had contacted him requesting a photo pass for the Bowling For Soup concert, which Jeff was more than happy to give to me. I met Jeff for the first time on Saturday 2nd October 2004 at Manchester Academy in the U.K and he was as friendly in person as he was on the phone. I was supposed to be interviewing Feable Weiner , though they had yet to arrive so Jeff introduced me to Jaret and I interviewed him first. With it being my first interview I was slightly worried but Jeff told me "Everyone has to start somewhere, and we are all good buddies here" and made me feel at ease about it all. Afterwards Jeff invited us to stay in the sound check which was an awesome thing to do, he then gave us our passes for the gig that night. When we got home after an amazing day we discovered the photos of the band on stage were not as good as we hoped. I knew that they were playing the Sunday in Newcastle and my dad worked near there at the time, so I called Jeff and explained the situation (not expecting to get another pass), but Jeff was as cool as always and said no problem and hooked my dad up with a pass for that gig too.
I met Jeff again in 2005 when the band came over and got chatting to him about the bands I'd met since last time we spoke and he was shocked again with everyone I'd met at my age.
Jeff was one of the best band managers I have ever met and he will be truly missed. Thanks for everything Jeff! You are in our thoughts.
