Interview With Feable Weiner 

How did you get the name Feable Weiner?

We were big fans of Little Richard and our name is a playoff of his name, it would probably make more sense in the States.  

How old were you when you first decided you wanted to be in a band?

Josh - Really young, we all knew we would be huge ROCK stars.

Ben - I was born with a microphone in my hand.

Jeff - I started playing drums at the age of 7 or 8.  

Can you describe each band member?

Lets just describe Atom because he's not here.

Josh is the 'heroic' Weiner

Ben is the 'manly' Weiner

Jeff is the 'shy' Weiner

Atom is the 'atomic' Weiner   

We are all geniuses.

What bands influenced you as a child?

Mainly bands from the fifties and sixties. The Police, The Beatles, Green Day, Weezer just catchy Rock 'N' Roll.

On your album ‘Dear Hot Chick’ there is a song ‘San Deem Us Ready’, what the title influenced by the movies of Bill And Ted?

You're a genius! Not too many people know that. That's one of our favourite movies. The song talks about us wanting to move to San Dimas.   

If you could choose any musicians (dead or alive) to create a line up of your own

personal supergroup, who would you have?

Josh - Jeff On Guitar taking my spot, Ben take Atom's spot singing and I would want Russell Crowe to play my part and the whole Fleetwood Mac doing some ambience sounds in the background.

Jeff- Me on the drums and me on every other part on the band.  

Which band would you like to see reform?

The Beatles the best band in the world.........other than us.

What song makes you think, “Damn I wish I wrote that?”

  A lot of songs, I think that's what inspires to write more songs and be a musician that you want to write that perfect song. You'll hear a song by one of your favourite artists and that inspires you to pick up your guitar and try to copy it, just change a few lyrics.

Which question would you like to be asked in an interview that you’ve never been

asked? 

Josh - Will you make out with me for three hours?

What is your ultimate ambition?

Jeff  - Just to be able to play music as long as we can and somehow be involved in music into the day that we die.

Jeff- Have a riding lawn mower so we can race them!  

Do you write from personal experiences?

Josh - For the most part yeah. Each song is different so we think of something very funny to us that would make people laugh or something serious. Or something that we'll start to write and it'll make us cry and we'll all take off our shirts and just hug each other.    

Tell us a funny story about someone you've toured with?

Is with Bowling For Soup. We went Nashville playing with them. Afterwards the venue we played had a bowling alley and after the show we were all hanging out having some beers and Erik from Bowling For Soup decided he would run down the aisle and jump into the pins. When he did it the thing came down where the pins were and broke his back in three places.

Is there a message you would like to give to your fans?

Josh - The coolest thing that fans can do  is give us all the money they have. I'm just kidding.
